PostPartum is the transitional period after pregnant women give birth. Women are highly vulnerable during this transition and rarely receive the care and support they require.
40 percent of women in the U.S. don’t see their maternity provider at all after discharge from the hospital. When mothers do get care, it is often fragmented and centred on the newborn infant, rather than the mother herself – leading to subpar outcomes: raining from postpartum haemorrhaging, undetected postpartum depression to weaning off breastfeeding earlier than desired. 30-50% of new mothers report experiencing a wide range of health problems and being unprepared to face them.
Mothers deserve better. Thankfully, there are more and more startups in the space. We have the goal of connecting new mothers to the care solutions they need.
