Not About Women’s Health — But Everything to Do With It
Before I built FemTechnology and ORI, I wrote Empire of Memories a book about power, memory, and what happens when choices become visible.
Empire of Memories is an interactive novel where you choose your character and step into a world where every decision creates physical threads you can see and touch. I wrote it to explore systems. It accidentally became my blueprint for changing healthcare.
PSA: This World Will Mess With Your Head
The setup: Choices manifest as literal threads – cerulean wool for obligation, satin sashes for seduction, barbed wire for anger. Three nations: Valens (perfect but fake), Xaemera (drowning in environmental chaos), and Fellorne (drugged into virtual reality labor).
Some of the characters:
- Jax – A memory thief who can summon people’s memories to their skin like bruises. He’s lost his sister and can’t tell his own memories from the ones he’s stolen.
- Yara – Jax’s sister, now a priestess on a secret mission to steal the technology that keeps one nation perfect while others suffer.
- Lucraezia – The brilliant inventor who built the “glamor” that makes her city look perfect and the “net” that protects it from environmental collapse.
The twist: Memory thief who can’t tell his own thoughts from stolen ones. Perfect city that literally drains life from dying nations. Brilliant inventor discovers her “dead” father has been a prisoner for years. Sister infiltrates a religious cult to steal world-saving technology.
Even twistier? Every choice creates visible threads others can manipulate. Memories bubble to your skin like bruises when summoned. Environmental collapse gets hidden behind technological glamor..
Interactive Fiction That Actually Matters
What makes this different:
- YOU are a character – and no two experiences are the same.
- A magic system based on visible choice-threads
- Environmental sci-fi that feels terrifyingly real
- Original soundtrack for each character’s perspective – 🎧 Soundtrack on Spotify here
- Political intrigue wrapped in speculative fiction
The result: A story about power that shows you how systems really work.
